Let’s Talk about Rape

Unless you’re living under a rock, you probably heard about a couple sensational stories in the past couple of weeks of women getting violated(usually by guys, haven’t heard of the lesbian version yet!).

At it’s core the action being described is a crime in virtually every country on earth (It’s one of the few ones we all agree on is completely bad), but the discussions online seemed to me, the most interesting thing I’ve seen, cause people forgot to condemn the crime and person involved and just went at each other’s throats for something non of them was responsible for.

If you weren’t there to witness it all, it went something like this:

Women: ALL MEN ARE EVILLLLL AND TRASHHH!!!

Guys: Here we go again (sigh!)

Our society does face a problem, nobody rejects that, but playing blame game doesn’t fix it now does it? At this point in time, someone somewhere is being sexually abused against their will, but did throwing blame game stop it?

So lets find a solution shall we.

One word I find being thrown around is consent, a simple word that’s defined as this basically. If you threaten her, use force to get your way, or take advantage of her when she’s clearly not in her proper senses, you’ve violated consent and just committed a crime.

If you threaten her, use force to get your way, or take advantage of her when she’s clearly not in her proper senses, you’ve violated consent and just committed a crime

Now to make this point stick to guys. Imagine you’re out with your boys to get wasted, cause lord knows guys have 2 hobbies in between em. You have fun, make EABL shareholders richer for another day and the world starts spinning too fast (Zimeshikaa!). Then all of a sudden somebody grabs you, forces your trousers down and ass-rapes you(I know its graphic, how else would it stick?).Now if your a guy, how would you feel after that just happened to you?

Ashamed, disgusted, violated? Well now you have their point of view.

But we can’t just stop there, Let’s make our fantasy crime even more bizarre. The perpetrator gets caught and its a woman with a dildo who was out looking for guys to ass-rape?! (yeah extremely awkward but trust me I’m getting somewhere).Crime makes it online and twitter is having a field day. The guys blame the girls for being sadistic and flat out crazy. The girls realizing they didn’t have anything to do with what happened, take a defensive position and what ensues is not discussing just how crazy and bizarre what happened is, but people defending their egos at all expense. Nobody wins and women now know they can ass-rape us to oblivion!

So after all that, then what is the actual solution to this? Well simple, make it hard for it to happen in the first place. And this goes to both sides of the aisle. Men, be personally responsible for your actions and also don’t hide a friend who you know showcases these behaviors, That’s not really being their friend now is it?

Women, Men are not all responsible for the lone-wolf actions of some disgusting criminal. The reason most guys have a problem agreeing with most of you on this issue is cause you never see us as an ally in this fight but an enemy to be subdued, and if its in an enemy you want its an enemy you’ll get! Also learn jiu-jitsu :)
